Our new Community Thrift Store and Donation Centre, located at 1110 Goderich St, Port Elgin, is more than just a store—it’s a mission in action. At Goodwill, we believe in changing lives and communities through the power of work, and with this expansion, we are creating 40 new jobs in the area, helping people gain experience and build their careers.
But our impact doesn’t stop there. Every donation of clothing, household, and consumer goods to Goodwill helps divert waste from local landfills, giving pre-loved items a second life. With the support of community donations in Saugeen Shores and Bruce County, this Goodwill location aims to divert up to 2.4 million pounds of waste from landfills annually. Each purchase supports job training programs and employment opportunities for people facing barriers to work.
Goodwill is your destination to shop local, buy Canadian, and make a difference in your community. Plus, as a registered Canadian charity, Goodwill is exempt from charging sales tax on donated goods - which means you can shop tax-free every day!
