Kate Baldwin brings over 3 decades of retail, sales, operating and marketing experience to the Goodwill Board. Kate began her consumer products career working for the Scandinavian wooden toy company BRIO overseeing their Canadian operations eventually taking on the position of President for the Canadian subsidiary. During her tenure, BRIO became an esteemed childhood favourite toy and a cornerstone brand of the North American toy industry. Currently Kate owns and manages the children’s products sales and marketing company, Brands in Balance, which she opened in 2006. By capitalizing on her industry experience and creating a new, efficient business model she continues to grow brands to Canadian consumers through varied retail channels.
Kate is also an active in the community currently serving on numerous boards including: an Executive of the Board for Huron College, Alzheimer Society London & Middlesex Foundation Board member, London Run against Ovarian Cancer, Board Member Canadian Toys Association (CTA), Canadian representative on the International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI), Campaign Cabinet Member Thames Valley Children’s Centre and is also a past Director of the London International Children’s Festival.
Kate has four children ages 21-27 years old and is married to Mark Baldwin.
