Your Change Changes Lives

By shopping at Goodwill thrift store locations, you aren’t just taking advantage of great savings and keeping waste out of landfills. You are also helping to strengthen lives and communities through the power of WORK.

When shopping you will be given the opportunity to “Round Up” at the till.

Rounding your purchase to the nearest dollar or ten dollars helps Goodwill fund job readiness programs, create opportunities for employment for individuals facing barriers to employment or support important causes in our community. Goodwill changes where Round Up funds are directed every month, this ensures you can support many causes within Goodwill and our communities by rounding up.

The saying “many hands make light work” holds true for charitable giving. Goodwill Round Up is a simple yet impactful way to give to Goodwill. Your donation, when combined with the gifts from other Goodwill friends, truly adds up.

We thank you for your business and helping us with our mission. Your change changes lives!

Round Up is Currently Supporting: Goodwill Community Programs

A few cents can help make a real difference.

When you Round Up at Goodwill Ontario Great Lakes stores, you’re investing directly in people, employment, and community.

Round Up puts more money into the hands of people who need it most, funding employment services, job training, and essential supports that help people move forward.

As a registered charity, our mission is to strengthen lives and communities through the power of work. Every time you shop or donate, you are helping us deliver on our mission. Our retail and reuse operations are the engine that funds employment services, job training, and community programs.

Every item donated, and every dollar earned through its resale, goes toward that mission. Rounding up at the till is another simple way to invest in your neighbours and community. Your Round Up donations are used to support the following Goodwill programs:

WorkFirst: Helping people with employment barriers and life challenges stay employed, build skills, find stability, and reach their goals through job supports and coaching at Goodwill.

Community Bucks: Providing access to clothing, household goods, and necessities during hardship or emergency situations.

ClothingWorks: Providing free professional clothing and confidence coaching to help people in need prepare for interviews and employment. This program is provided in the following communities: Hamilton, London and Woodstock.

Give a Coat Project: Helping provide warm winter clothing to people in need across our communities. Coat giveaways take place in the following communities: Hamilton, London, Windsor.

Throughout the year, Round Up also supports other charitable organizations in the communities we serve.

A small Round Up may not feel like much on its own, but together, those donations truly add up.

They help people access essential services, build confidence, and take steps toward stable work and a better future.

Thank you for shopping at Goodwill and helping strengthen people and communities through the power of work.
