The Retail Projects Associate is responsible for the timely and accurate packaging of light manufacturing materials in support of the work platform. They are also responsible for material movement handling duties while ensuring a Healthy and Safe working environment.

What You Will Do  

  • Open, remove and/or tip totes of product into the workstation.
  • Follows the Customer Care Cycle (I Care) consistently providing world class customer service to all customers, internal and external, of Goodwill.
  • Count, collate, group and/or rework required units as instructed.
  • Shrink wrap, bag, sleeve and/or label required units as instructed.
  • Palletize, shroud, and/or strap finished product as directed.
  • Sort units into outgoing store labelled totes as instructed.
  • Glue, tape and/or staple product as instructed.
  • Safely perform material movement of outgoing repack and supplies to the loading.
  • Maintain or exceed target rates on production outputs.
  • Work well individually or as part of a team assisting members where needed.
  • Record information into daily tracker sheets to be used in statistical analysis.
  • Provide a reliable and consistent work effort, with flexibility throughout assigned work hours.
  • Assist with building maintenance as required (sweeping, mopping, taking out garbage, clean washrooms and staff areas).
  • Remove undesirable items from the donation stream and reroute to appropriate areas.
  • Keep workstation clean and organized.
  • Recommend improvements to Management.
  • Communicate needs and concerns to Management.
  • Follow all safety standards set out in legislation and/or Goodwill policies.
  • Be actively involved in the health, well-being and safety of themselves and their team.

  • Keeping current on product knowledge, retail trends and competitive pricing.
  • Remember, no specific experience needed—we will help coach on these workplace skills:
    • Communication: clear and effective interacting with team members and customers to create a positive workplace.
    • Problem solving: finding solutions to problems, being accurate, and using simple math i.e. counting, adding and subtraction.
