The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for executing, organizing and facilitating a variety of administrative related tasks for the human resources Team; ensuring the organization is meeting legislative guidelines and expectations in regards to Employment Standards, measuring and reporting statistical data and ensuring the efficiencies of the human resources division is maximized.

This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver’s license and a reliable insured vehicle. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that they have a valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance upon being hired.

 What You Will Do:

  • Coordinating human resource team activities and calendars.
  • Triaging human resource inquiries to the appropriate team members.
  • Managing data for employee and health and safety metrics.
  • Assisting with administering WSIB claims inclusive of Form 7s and RTW documentation.
  • Plan, organize and deliver presentation of WSIB check-in & monthly Joint Health & Safety meetings.
  • Initiating new employee set-up into HRMS and maintain employee files in compliance with existing legislations.
  • Providing primary administrative support to the HR department.
  • Contributing and supporting team meetings including minute taking of ongoing policy review, revision and development.

 What We Are Looking For:

  • Post-secondary credentials in office, Human Resources, or business administration.
  • Minimum 2 years recent, relevant experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office; experience with MS SharePoint and HRMS systems an asset.
  • Must maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with a wide-variety of individuals.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft office, HRMS Sage software.
  • Working knowledge of Employment Standards Act, WSIB and other related employment legislation an asset.
  • Enthusiasm: excited to work with other people and teams.
  • Flexibility: able to work at various times, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Communication: effectively speaking with and listening to team members and customers to create a positive workplace.
  • Problem-solving: finding solutions to problems, being accurate.
