The Team Lead, Circularity is responsible for the effective day-to-day supervision of circularity and warehousing operation. Reporting to the Manager, Circularity, the Team Lead, Circularity takes an “on the floor” approach ensuring safe and efficient operating practices are always followed.
Team Leads must be prepared and capable of handling a variety of situations that may arise; when the Supervisors/Managers are not present, the Team Lead is considered the responsible management person on duty.

This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver’s license and a reliable insured vehicle. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that they have a valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance upon being hired.

What You Will Do:
- Day-to-day floor supervision of the circularity department including sortation and warehousing activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner following standard operating procedures.
- Ensures effective floor supervision with a hands-on approach providing ongoing coaching, guidance and direction to circularity team members following regulatory and company policies.
- Follows the Customer Care Cycle (I Care) consistently providing world class customer service to all customers/buyers, internal and external, of Goodwill.
- Monitor and manage the flow of donations in accordance with standard procedures and continuous improvement is adhered to through the use of Lean methodologies.
- Completes shift reports and records all KPI’s using departmental metrics reporting tools.
- Work together as a team to ensure effective flow of goods from dock, warehouse and processing stations.
- Assists the Manager, Circularity with staff scheduling and preparing time and attendance reports and payroll tasks.
- Oversees daily attendance tracking of team members, addresses attendance concerns in a professional and timely fashion.
- Trains and develops circularity team members on standard operations procedures and role expectations.
- Ensure safety standards are maintained through employee training, inspections, reports and continuous observation of the production area and general warehouse.
- Ensure that all machinery checklists are carried out by users of all machinery and material handling equipment.
- Ensures a high standard of general housekeeping is maintained based on 5s methodology, a ‘clean as you go basis and following cleaning staff schedules.
- Ensures weekly standup communications are being held and effective employee communication is maintained at all times.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all administrative and documentation retention and forwards to the relevant parties.
- Keeps the Manager, Circularity promptly advised on all relevant matters, problems or requirements of the circularity operation.
- Ensures the attainment of daily shift production targets.
- Keep current on product sortation knowledge, procedures and safety requirements.
- Addresses employee concerns in a timely fashion and follows the performance management process as required.
- As a key holder, ensures the building is opened, secured and locked up and the alarm set as required.
- Provide coverage for Outlet Team Leads and Supervisor as needed during periods of absence, holiday, etc.
- Responsible for other assigned duties and managerial responsibilities as assigned.
