The Job Coach is responsible for providing assistance and support to clients towards reaching their work goals. This position is eligible for a 4-day work week.

What You Will Do
- Provide on the job support services, which includes: providing guidance, intervention and mediation, employer training, implementation of adaptations and/or accommodations, and conducting client/employer evaluation meetings, as individually required. This requires flexible availability in providing service to participants during and/or after standard business hours and on weekends. This will require travel within London and Middlesex/Chatham-Kent/Sarnia-Lambton.
- Follows the Customer Care Cycle (I Care) consistently providing world class customer service to all customers, internal and external, of Goodwill.
- Participate in identification of appropriate job targets based on customers’ skills, experience, abilities, team expertise and labour market trends in collaboration with other Career Centre personnel.
- Assist employer to provide feedback to clients, and ensure feedback is relayed to members of support team. To maintain communication and work cooperatively with members of each clients’ team, and other professionals involved, as appropriate.
- Support the Job Development team, as needed, to coordinate and support opportunities with community employers including completing all necessary paperwork.
- Assist with on-going labour market research on local employers as required.
- To complete all assigned documentation as required according to set standards.
- Provide relief support (i.e. job coaching for paid employment, pre-employment, labour market research, etc.) to Employment Specialist role, as may be required.
- Participate in/co-facilitated workshops
- Facilitate skills training programs (ie. Cash Register Training; Expert Customer Service Training), Co-facilitate Job Finding Club/Networking Clubs and other group services to support client success
- Adhere to our Public Relations policy, acting as a ‘positive ambassador’ when representing Goodwill’s brand in the community
- Perform other related activities, as necessary or as assigned.
- Follow all safety standards set out in legislation and/or Goodwill policies
- Be actively involved in the health, well-being and safety of themselves and their team.
What We Are Looking For
- Post-Secondary graduate holding a diploma/degree in one of the relevant social services areas/equivalent experience.
- At least three (3) years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or disadvantages in employment with multiple barriers.
- Willingness and ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid drivers license and appropriate insurance and access to reliable vehicle.
- Acceptable criminal reference check.
- Knowledge of labour market trends.
- Enthusiasm: excited to work with other people and teams.
- Flexibility: able to work at various times, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Communication: effectively speaking with and listening to team members and customers to create a positive workplace.
- Problem-solving: finding solutions to problems, being accurate.
