The ClothingWorks program at Goodwill collects donations of professional clothing, shoes, accessories, and basic needs items from the community to provide free job interview outfits and support to individuals of all ages, genders, body types and cultures who are in need. The team of staff and volunteers provide consultation services to build confidence and support the interview process for people facing barriers on their path to employment.
The ClothingWorks Program Assistant works part-time to assist with establishing, integrating, and expanding the ClothingWorks program across Goodwill Ontario Great Lakes community stores.

This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver’s license and a reliable insured vehicle. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that they have a valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance upon being hired.

What You Will Do:
- Provide world-class customer service to all customers and clients.
- Support the recruitment and training, of volunteers.
- Assist in the expansion and integration of ClothingWorks into the communities Goodwill serves through our retail platforms.
- Support the coordination and execution of ClothingWorks community partnership events.
- Conduct client wardrobe consultations to fulfil program funding and targets requirements.
- Advise clients and build their confidence, by giving them encouragement and positive reinforcement, through access to appropriate clothing, enabling them to make a great first impression in their job search and achieve their goals.
- Maintain accurate records in electronic and paper file systems.
- Perform other related activities as necessary or as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
- Effective leadership characteristics: humility, empathy, courage – to inspire and enact change.
- 2-4 years of customer service experience.
- Employee/Volunteer coordination experience considered an asset.
- Fashion/clothing retail/merchandizing/marketing and event planning experience will be considered an asset.
- Outreach, marketing, and relationship management skills considered to be asset.
- Knowledge of community resources and programs.
- Effective computer skills.
- Ability to secure an acceptable result on a Vulnerable Sector Screening Check.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and appropriate insurance.
- Enthusiasm: excited to work with other people and teams.
- Flexibility: able to work at various times, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Communication: effectively speaking with and listening to team members and customers to create a positive workplace.
- Problem-solving: finding solutions to problems, being accurate.
